Our mission at Teays Valley High School is to maximize individual achievement by developing a respectful environment committed to citizenship, community partnerships and expanding opportunities for tomorrow. We recently had members of our faculty, student body, business community and parents come together for three weeks to establish this mission.
We are excited to put this mission into action during the 2009-10 school year.
As a result of nearly two years of planning and renovation, our facility will become a place that offers new classrooms, better learning environments and become more student and community friendly. During this process of physical change we have learned to be more patient, understanding and realized the importance of teamwork. We have also learned that no matter what obstacles are in front of us, our attitude and approach can determine how successful we become. I commend our staff and students for keeping their focus on achievement, relationships, growth and opportunities during this time of change.
We have a special place that offers a variety of opportunities for all students. We encourage everyone to get involved in our school and contribute to the success of our students. I hope you enjoy looking at our Web site and getting a glimpse of the people who make this building great.
