Welcome to the Scioto Elementary Media Center Web site. We are looking forward to another active year together. We want to create an atmosphere of learning for your children and a love of reading.
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for November 30 through December 11. Special family events will be scheduled for both parent/teacher conference nights on December 2 and December 8. This year's theme is “Destination Book Fair - Read Around the World!”
The elementary media centers subscribe to the following informational Web sites. These sites can be accessed from school or from home. Please contact me for user names and passwords.

The library is assisting the Scioto Just Say No Club by displaying a Ronald McDonald box to collect pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House at Children's Hospital. Please send your pop tabs to Scioto to help with this project. There is also a box in the cafeteria.
2008-2009 Author Visit
Author Brian Cleary visited the Scioto staff and students on December
16. While at Scioto, he gave a presentation, answered the students
