Welcome to the Walnut Elementary School Web site. I am very pleased to have you visiting our school via the Internet. I hope you will have an opportunity to visit in person and see our wonderful facility. The students and staff take great pride in our school.
Our school mission is to educate and encourage each student to lead a productive life. Toward this mission, our school has consistently ranked at the top of the Ohio Proficiency Testing. The 2008-2009 school year results ranked Walnut as an “Effective” school. This type of accomplishment would not be possible without the commitment and dedication that the entire staff and student body put forth.
The Walnut staff works hard at continuing an open, friendly and warm atmosphere at our school, while still fostering a challenging spirit of learning in every grade.
I encourage our parents to become actively involved at Walnut Elementary. Our P.T.O. and parent volunteer programs are an excellent way to do so. My door is always open and I welcome your comments on how we can make Walnut Elementary School even better.
