Teays Valley East Middle School 6th grade teacher Emily Dawson - "Emily has done an outstanding job connecting with both students and staff. Her lessons are always engaging and fun. She is purposeful to ensure she checks in with her students on a regular basis. Emily recently planned an educational field trip for all 6th grade students. Despite several challenges in planning the trip, she persisted to make sure her students would have this amazing learning experience. Emily is truly committed to doing what is best for her students!"

Get to know East 7th grade teacher Breanna Sayre!
We hope all students will celebrate kindness week with us!
A handful of East and West students took a field trip to Children’s last week. They did a simulation session with simulations for hand washing, giving IVs, CPR, and how they use animatronic patients to look at vital signs. We also had sessions on marketing and public relations and radiology, as well as a biomedical research session where they found the DNA of a strawberry. This was a great opportunity for our students!!
