We kicked off kindergarten screenings this week. We are excited to start meeting our new Vikings!
Ashville, South Bloomfield & Walnut nurse Theresa Miller - "It's hard enough to work in one building, let alone three, but Theresa not only works in three, she manages the clinics in each of them. Recently, one of our students who has suffered a lot of trauma throughout her life, including losing her mother, father and aunt, as well as bouncing from foster home to foster home, had her vision tested in the Walnut clinic. It became obvious she needed glasses. Theresa secured a voucher for a free professional eye exam and glasses from a local optometrist. In addition to securing the voucher, she took the student to the appointment due to the deteriorating health of the girl's current guardian. Thank you, Theresa, for going the extra mile to ensure our girl got the glasses she desperately needed."
Ashville educational aide Heidi Wotring - "Heidi is a go getter who will jump in to help at anytime. She is eager to learn and has been a wonderful addition to our Ashville team. I appreciate her hard work and willingness to tackle any task that comes her way. Thank you, Heidi!"

TV Preschool Director Andi Ward Burrow - "We are excited to recognize Andi for her love and compassion for our students at Teays Valley. Andi coordinates our preschool services. She is welcoming to our new families and provides our students with a safe and secure environment to learn and grow. She extends her love for our students outside of the school day, taking students to activities and events if families are unable to attend. She is kind and supportive to all of our staff and works tirelessly to address concerns and needs in our preschool community. We appreciate the work of Andi and the incredible impact she has made on so many of our students." #VikingPride
