Scioto 4th grade teacher Betsy Richards - "Mrs. Richards is a model teacher of our values here at Scioto. She understands the importance of building strong relationships and does just that with students, staff and the parents we serve. Mrs. Richards presents math in a way that is engaging and inquiry based. She gets students moving, thinking critically and collaborating. Her excitement about math is reflected in her students during her lessons. She is a great teammate, a champion for students and we are so grateful to have here serving our 4th grade students here at Scioto."
Ashville, South Bloomfield & Walnut nurse Theresa Miller - "It's hard enough to work in one building, let alone three, but Theresa not only works in three, she manages the clinics in each of them. Recently, one of our students who has suffered a lot of trauma throughout her life, including losing her mother, father and aunt, as well as bouncing from foster home to foster home, had her vision tested in the Walnut clinic. It became obvious she needed glasses. Theresa secured a voucher for a free professional eye exam and glasses from a local optometrist. In addition to securing the voucher, she took the student to the appointment due to the deteriorating health of the girl's current guardian. Thank you, Theresa, for going the extra mile to ensure our girl got the glasses she desperately needed."
TVHS art 3, 4 & 5 students enjoyed a visit to the Columbus Museum of Art.
Author Carolyn Crimi's first stop in the district was at Scioto. The students created artwork related to her books and got to listen to a presentation from her.
Ashville educational aide Heidi Wotring - "Heidi is a go getter who will jump in to help at anytime. She is eager to learn and has been a wonderful addition to our Ashville team. I appreciate her hard work and willingness to tackle any task that comes her way. Thank you, Heidi!"

Teays Valley West Middle School intervention specialist Jalyn Binkley - "Mrs. Binkley is in her first year as an intervention specialist. She works on the sixth grade team and serves students in resource room English and as an IS in ELA classes. She has a unique ability to develop relationships with all of her students and fellow staff. She takes pride in providing strong, well designed lessons that are relevant and interesting to her students. She simply finds ways to make learning fun." #VikingPride
TV Preschool Director Andi Ward Burrow - "We are excited to recognize Andi for her love and compassion for our students at Teays Valley. Andi coordinates our preschool services. She is welcoming to our new families and provides our students with a safe and secure environment to learn and grow. She extends her love for our students outside of the school day, taking students to activities and events if families are unable to attend. She is kind and supportive to all of our staff and works tirelessly to address concerns and needs in our preschool community. We appreciate the work of Andi and the incredible impact she has made on so many of our students." #VikingPride
Ashville Elementary School reading coach Jaime Lowe - "Jaime has been a wonderful addition to Ashville. She is such a hard worker and if she’s ever had a bad day, I wouldn’t know it.
